About the 2000 and earlier US Opens:
Most years sets are over 8 hours of the world's best swing dancing on each DVD set! The
best of the best of swing dancing. Divisions include Classic, Showcase, Team,
Masters, Jack & Jill, Lindy and Shag. Also includes the popular Young
America division and Cabaret division. Since 1997 this event has been taped in
a new 'digital' format called DVCAM for excellent clarity and color. The 1999
event added the Young Adult division and was very popular. The event location
for 1999 and 2000 was at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. From 1983 to 1998 the US Open was held
at the magical Disneyland Hotel. If you were fortunate to personally be there and experience the magic of
dancing swing at the Hotel you were very lucky indeed. The 2005 and 2006 locatoins tries to simulate the dancing 'pit'
that was at the Disneyland Hotel.
